The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) Commission is responsible for setting much of the policy for how wildlife and wildlands are managed in Washington State.

It is vital for Commissioners to hear from Animal Advocates, as most of the voices they hear from are folks in the hunting community.
As such, NARN is please to host an opportunity to meet with one of the Commissioners; Barbara Baker
If you are interested in wildlife issues, we highly encourage you to attend this informal Q&A with Commissioner Baker.

Commissioner Baker was appointed to the Commission in January 2017 and was elected as vice chair January 2019 and Chair in March 2022. She is an attorney who retired from a long career in the state legislature to devote time and energy to fulfill the requirements of this important appointment. Barbara’s most recent job was as an administrator, serving as Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives for 10 years.

To learn a little more about her, come to our Q&A session and get the chance to ask her questions, and express your concerns about wildlife issues in Washington State.
