Proudly Vegan Donuts & Drinks
Details
Pride Month may be over, but let's keep the Pride going! We'll be meeting at Dough Joy donuts, the queer-owned, vegan-owned, doughnut cafe that's quickly becoming a Seattle staple. The Capitol Hill shop doesn't have too much sitting room, so we'll make our way over to Cal Anderson.
Who's this event for? Everybody. We welcome you irrespective of your sexuality, gender, and background. It's Pride-themed, because we're supporting not only one of Seattle's fast-rising vegan eateries, but one started by the lovely couple Sean and Christopher. In their first year, they opened locations in Ballard, Capitol Hill, and West Seattle, so come taste what the hype is about!
Why so early? The most popular flavors often sell out early, so this gives us the best chance at having a full selection to choose from! It also lets us get to the park before the sun or heat gets going.
What if I run late? That's fine! We'll wait at the cafe a bit, then you can find us at Cal Anderson near the reflecting pool on the north side of the park.
You said... drinks? Yup! Dough Joy has a variety of lattes, teas, and iced teas. All fully plant-based.
What should I wear? Anything you'd like! Rainbow would be awesome, especially to help folks find us at Cal Anderson, or even your favorite color of the rainbow .
What if I prefer Mighty-O? Mighty-O is a few blocks over, so feel free to grab either or both! Then we can all meet at Cal Anderson.
I have a question about something else! Drop it in the event and we're happy to answer. If it's a Dough Joy-specific question, like if they have gluten-free options (not yet!) or what kind of donuts they make (yeast-raised), you may find their website and Instagram helpful.
