Thanksgiving Day Organic Raw/Cooked Vegan Potluck
WHEN: 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM!
WHERE: Bellevue Braemar Complex off Northrup near Crossroads
PARKING: In front of Clubhouse as well as Guest Parking areas throughout the complex.
Games: We will have some fun board games, group games and maybe a cozy fire in the fireplace at the clubhouse. Please feel free to bring a fun board game! We may even put together some Trivia (my mom is a trivia buff).
Instruments: If you play an instrument bring it! Music and a fire will be cozy!
The main potluck will be at 4:00 PM. Feel free to bring extra snacks for before and after!
What to bring:
• PLEASE honor these requests, so we are ALL on the same page!!!
• ALL ORGANIC foods (some exceptions, such as durian, which we cannot find organic in the PNW). Certified organic or at least grown organically please (No pesticides and No GMO)!
• All vegan foods: no animal products! (No meats, no eggs, no dairy, and no honey or other bee products!)
• This will be a combined party of both COOKED AND RAW FOOD
If you bring Cooked- please note there will be a stove to heat things up like soups or an oven for pies. Please make ALL COOKED FOOD GLUTEN FREE AND VEGAN. Please do not bring bags of processed chips or high sugar foods. Sometimes people rely on buying bags of chips or high sugar cookies, pies, etc. It would be wonderful if you could bring a dish you prepared! Or healthier than something high processed!
If you bring Raw food- then all raw foods should not include any processed foods & should be labelled as raw (not processed/heated above 118 degrees)
• All natural! (Please no artificial chemicals or preservatives!)
• We love raw organic fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and herbs, etc.! Gourmet-ish chefs often get creative with wonderful salads, raw vegan entrees like lasagnas, desserts, etc.
• These events are about abundance! If eaten alone, one person's food should fill 2-3 people (minimum - your food should COMPLETELY FILL YOU!).
• Please provide a detailed list of ingredients for whatever you bring. We will have note cards there to fill out as well.
• When preparing your foods, please use standard food prep practices (hand-washing prior to handling foods, rinsing produce, etc.)
• If this is your first time and you don't know what to bring, consider a fresh organic fruit or vegetable salad with dressing on the side.
• For those who can prepare gourmet raw food recipes, bring it on! This is a chance to share delicious raw food recipes with each other, and further the raw food mission of health and peace, as well as inspire others to create amazing gourmet raw vegan foods!
• Please bring your own dishware and utensils, including serving utensils!
- Please help clean up after! We have to leave the clubhouse spotless!
Let's celebrate the holiday with some wonderful company and some vibrant raw living foods!!! (And some cooked vegan too)!!
Newcomers are welcome!
