Origami workshop - holiday ornaments
Details
This workshop will teach you how to create a 3D octahedron shape, about the size of a coffee cup, with 14 pieces of paper.
This is called a modular origami: a paper-folding technique where multiple identical or similar units are folded from individual sheets of paper, with very few steps, and assembled into a larger, often symmetrical 2D or 3D structure without the use of glue.
This is a beginner-friendly class. Each unit is easy to make. If you can fold a piece of paper in half, you can do it!
Paper supplies will be provided - show up and we'll fold together. But if you have a specific color theme in mind, you can bring your own square paper.
This is the first origami workshop by Seattle Vegans. If people are interested in folding more, we'll do more origami workshops!
