WELCOME!

Join us for the fourth annual Fall Feast Face-Off cooking contest! Get out your rolling pins and ladles and show us your best vegan food preparations for cozy season!

The Cathy Hillenbrand Community Room is located on the corner of 10th ave & John. For maps use the address for the “Station House” or type 131 10th ave E into maps.

There will be three categories to conquer, bring a dish that fits one of these:

  1. “Mac n’ Cheese Smackdown”/Mac n’ Cheese contest: This category is “open to interpretation” so feel free to get creative with your flavors, textures, and temperatures. Gluten-free entries are encouraged!
  2. "Veggie-Battle”/Vegetable side contest: Make your favorite side or try a new recipe!
  3. "Pie-valry”/Pie bake-off: This category is specifically for dessert (not savory) pie. Think pumpkin, apple, sweet potato, rhubarb pie, or any other delicious creation! Crumbles, crisps, or other variations of crust are welcome. We would love to see some gluten-free entries here too!

We hope you can join us for another Fall Feast Face-Off!! We are thankful to be able to use the same amazing space as last year!

This year will work a bit differently - there is no formal sign up for these categories. Feel free to bring any dish in one of these 3 categories to compete with. You do not have to bring a dish and could just be a taster/ voter and we hope you will consider donating to the prize pool.

In previous years we have asked those who are not bringing a dish to donate a specified amount to a prize pool. This year, we are leaving it open for both chefs and tasters to donate as much as you are willing and able to donate for the prize pool. The prize pool will be divided 4 ways and the money will be donated to the animal rights organizations that each respective winner selects. We encourage contestants to research and select an organization beforehand to allow us to announce where the donations will go that very night.

We ask all contestants to arrive on time to allow attendees to taste and vote for each and every dish. We encourage creative uses of ingredients to allow for allergen friendly dishes like gluten-free and/or nut-free as well! As always, every dish needs to be entirely vegan-friendly. This means free of any animal product or byproduct (no meat, dairy, eggs, honey, etc.) Please be prepared to list all ingredients and/or major allergens in your dish.

The top four prizes will be awarded to the dishes voted Most Creative, Best Mac and Cheese, Best Side Dish, and Best Pie. This is intended to be a fun and friendly competition amongst friends and neighbors. Please be respectful of all attendees and their entries! We look forward to seeing you and your best recipe!

Please reach out with any questions or concerns.
