Join us for this weekly 90-minute kick in the pants to sit down and write!

It's easy. Two prompts are offered, we write, we listen, we give and receive POSITIVE feedback — all in an hour and a half. And, done! You've met your goal of writing mid-week.

The group is grounded in the Amherst Writers & Artists method and led by an AWA trained leader.

  • Judgement
  • Self-doubt — if you put words on a page you ARE A WRITER. Claim it!
  • The practice of comparing yourself to others. Try not to!
  • The urge to fix, correct or offer writing advice (We DO NOT tell each other how to write)
  • Pieces that you have already written. Read-back in this group is limited to works writing during the session, placing us all in equitable draft mode.
