As of summer, 2013, there are over 1000 short-term rentals in Seattle listed on Airbnb alone. VRBO has 500 more listings in the Puget Sound area. This is a group for those short-term landlords (or, "hosts") to meet once a month to create community, network, and discuss all issues related to hosting short-term guests. What do you do about taxes and homeowner's insurance? Who cleans your place, meets your guests, and manages your account when you have to go out of town? Which of the amenities that you provide do guests appreciate the most? How do you get so many bookings?!? These are just a few of the issues that we can discuss at monthly get-togethers. Those who are interested in becoming a host are very welcome as well, as are those who don't want to host, but who are enthusiastic about using the sharing economy!
