You don’t expect to be alone on one of the most popular hikes in one of America’s most popular national parks. The crowds of hikers who do the 9-mile Ozette Loop trail are long gone and the wildest coast in the Lower 48 becomes truly wild again.

While snow may be falling in the high country, the shoreline never sleeps and always abounds with life. On recent trips, sea lions barked from a rocky sea stack, otters frolicked in ocean waves and eagles sat watching from high perches above. You will remember this hike for the rest of your life.

For this and many other reasons, winter are great times to do the Ozette Loop. If you can find a nice weather window, the hike takes on a magical quality, where gorgeous beaches, headlands and forests are all yours and the coast looks like it did when it was inhabited by the indigenous people who once called it home. Truly an adventure of a lifetime

Some of the most gorgeous and memorable scenery is located just 4 hours from the city. The mountains are beautiful with just a dusting of snow and the Pacific ocean is pretty spectacular. It will be rainy, but we love this hike all the same. Don't let the rain stop you. Just bring an umbrella and some rain gear, and waterproof shoes. The rains makes all types of waterfalls, which makes the mountain a living art work ! Stupendous views await that are breath taking.

This will be an easy relaxing hike. On a rainy days, there will be very few people here. It will be nice having the place to ourselves!

December allows you to take full advantage of the stunning and colorful scenery.

This is, perhaps, one of the easier hikes in the National Park, but one of the most memorable because it’s like entering a Magical Kingdom. This is rare, even in a region with so many big mountains. Think about it.

Better than some new world created for a virtual reality game, it’s all there for you to enjoy.

The gorgeous mountain scenery comes to an extraordinary climax at the Pacific Ocean. The drive will be equally beautiful !!

This will be a full day so be prepared to have an adventure.
