Summer Weekday Hikes. No Crowds! Longer DayLight. Sunset Colors ! What a workout! The Cable Line Trail on Tiger Mountain is not for the weak of heart. A steep, slippery incline awaits you here, climbing over 2,000 feet in just 1.5 miles to the summit of West Tiger 3. True to its name, an old cable line is occasionally visible in ground as hikers trudge to the top. Then open up a refreshment of your choosing! This is a great hike for training purposes, and loop options abound. Do an out and back hike, or break off to the West Tiger Railroad Grate Trail, the Section Line Trail, West Tiger 2, or join up with the Tiger Mountain Trail. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fh_yeVheRSg Looking for a workout? Look no further than this thigh-burning climb up to the summit of West Tiger #3 One of the most accessible training hikes from the city, you may go up and back, or take the Tiger Mountain Trail or others down. This trail is characterized by primitive steep inclines with several "flats" in between Total Distance: 4.8 mile Total Ascent: 2042f Highest Point: 2522ft Difficulty: Har Our Hiking Time: 2h WE WILL BE TURNING AROUND BEFORE SUNSET! All riders are to pay their driver $20 cash Get to the park and ride before 530pm to carpool The greatest reward is the joy of the effort itself, of digging deep within yourself to summon the strength to conquer the mighty Mountain Please indicate if you are willing to drive and how many can you fit. Preference to larger vehicles Parking Fee or National Park Pass or Daily Pas Needed. Things to Pack: Bring hiking shoes, snowshoes, poles, microspikes, ice ax, Jacket, warm clothing with layers, extra pair of socks, change of clothes, water, snacks, etc If you plan on being a rider please bring $20 for your driver towards ferry, gas, park entrance fees etc. ( Pay your Driver when you enter their car !
