Join us to discover the new tactics for marketing and selling directly to consumers via Facebook and Messenger. Whether you are launching a fashion brand, developing cosmetics, or marketing a fitness product, you need to go beyond boosting a post to build relationships with your customers.

Ecommerce marketing expert John Schuster will dive into the successful methods you can now use to prospect for new customers and how to continue your brand’s positive engagement with returning ones. He’ll explain the innovative steps he’s taken to successfully grow a skincare brand.

Maureen Jann, SuperDeluxe Marketing’s Founder, will lead the discussion and share some of her best tips for startups,too. We’re very excited to get the chance to hear from these two marketing pros!

Please be sure to arrive before the building's lobby closes at 6 p.m. Snacks will be provided. Paid parking is available under the building (access to the lot is via Madison Street). Also, there are often less-expensive paid parking spaces available on the street after 5 p.m. and in the lot at First and Columbia.

John Schuster

John enjoys working with startups who are ready to grow their brand with paid media. He got his start building a brand on Amazon, Ebay, and Facebook in 2009. As a Facebook ads expert and ecommerce marketing consultant, he has successfully grown a small skincare brand into a seven figure business.

He currently runs a boutique marketing agency and ecommerce consultancy that specializes in working with startup ecommerce companies to help them grow their brands with paid social, Messenger, and search engine optimization. Check it out here.

John teaches at General Assembly, speaks on topics such as Facebook Advertising, Digital Marketing, and Search Engine Optimization, and is currently serving as Vice President of the Seattle Search Network.

Maureen Jann

Maureen Jann is a former in-house marketing director gone agency owner. SuperDeluxe Marketing, her agency, offers full-spectrum support from collaborative ideation to developing your messaging, visuals, and content, to acting as a sounding board and offering constructive feedback.

Maureen has twenty years of marketing experience (including building two marketing departments from the ground up—both acquired) across the marketing industry, training and development, startup, and B2B technology space. She has a unique understanding of the pressure marketers are under.

She graduated with a bachelor's from San Jose State in digital media and with her master's from what she likes to call the "school of failed startups". An avid crafter and collector of weird shoes, she likes to work in the coworking space she co-owns and have adventures with her husband, daughter, and pug-themed mutts.
