Come hang out with other makers and make a custom t-shirt!
This is a monthly opportunity to get to know your fellow Seattle Makers tinkerers, crafters, inventors, and artisans in a fun and relaxed environment.

This month’s project is making a custom t-shirt by using a Cameo/Cricut machine to cut your pattern out of vinyl, and then using that as a stencil to bleach the pattern onto a shirt.
There will be snacks available and an activity planned. Feel free to take part in the activity or just hang out and socialize.
Please bring:

  • A pre-washed, black cotton t-shirt (other dark colored t-shirts also work, but black is typically best)
  • A simple pattern to bleach onto the shirt

More Information:

  • We have a black t-shirts available for $5. Note: these will shrink when they are washed the first time
  • Other articles of clothing may also work
  • Plan for your design to be roughly 6”x6” if you want a logo on the chest.
  • Avoid very sharp corners and details smaller than 2mm across. Try and avoid having lots of small pieces in your design.
  • The moon t-shirt in the attached photo is a good level of complexity to aim for.
  • Bonus: You'll get stickers of your design from the vinyl cut-out, so you can bring something hard to stick your pattern onto, e.g. a phone case, tablet, laptop
  • No cost to attend, with a recommended donation of $5 for non-members.
