Spring Conditioning Hike (Overnight & slow pace)

I climbed Mt. Hood in May 2018. I was relatively new to big mountains (not sure if I even had a smart phone), so my focus was solely on my sense of belonging rather than enjoying the climb. I have not been back since. I am looking for a couple of people to climb with. I like to climb slow and enjoy it. You will need to be able to climb on your own.

** Standard route!

Plan:

  • Sat - Drive down, hike up to about 7K and set up camp.
  • Sun - Alpine start and summit at sunrise. Spend 20-30 minutes on the summit.
  • Climb down, pack, hike out, and drive home.

Tool:

  • Ice axe, crampons, helmet (no team gears).
