Remmel Mountain Expedition

Dates: Friday night – Sunday night
Objective: Remmel Mountain (8,685 ft)
Style: 2-day backpacking expedition with high camp
Difficulty: Strenuous, Class 2–3 with some Class 3–4 depending on route choice
Distance: ~25 miles round trip
Elevation Gain: ~6,000–6,800 ft
Glacier Travel: None

Friday

Leave Seattle after work (around 5 PM)
Drive to Andrews Creek Trailhead area
Sleep at or near the trailhead

Saturday

Early trail start (6–7 AM)
Follow Andrews Creek Trail deep into the Pasayten Wilderness
Continue toward Andrews Pass/Coleman Ridge approach
Establish high camp near the Remmel approach basin
Optional scouting hike toward the route

Estimated Day 1

10–13 miles
2,500–3,500 ft gain

Sunday

Alpine start from camp
Summit Remmel Mountain
Return to camp
Break camp
Hike all the way back to the trailhead
Drive back to Seattle

Estimated Day 2

12–15 miles
3,000–4,000 ft gain
Long drive home
