Mount Adams/Lunch Counter
Details
Mount Adams is a phenomenal first climb for new mountaineers! You will need ice axe and crampon experience, but no technical climbing necessary!
Since this trip will be taking place over a weekday morning our normal tactic of park and rides will be inadvisable. We will be arranging more ad-hoc carpools, so make sure to check the group chat for carpool locations/planning.
This trip is weather dependent. If the outlook is too bad we will pivot to another destination if possible. If we cannot pivot I will be forced to cancel as I don't have flexibility in my schedule this year (6 month old daughter does that to a person).
There will be a wait-list for this trip. If I don't know you feel free to send me a message with your climbing credentials so I know you are up to the trip. Ice axe, crampons, and helmet are required.
This will be an overnight trip, so bring your sleeping gear. We will get an alpine start on the mountain and we stay together as a team on the mountain; while Adams might be relatively safe we are always safer together. For those of you lightning fast climbers with higher aspirations this is a good chance to practice your patience with the slower people you will inevitably be tied to on a rope some day.
