Easy Trad Climbing in Index

Let's do some easy and beginner friendly Trad Climbing in Index. We will head out to The Wart, considered one of the easiest Trad climbing crags in Index, and most of the routes are top-rope accessible.

I picked The Wart because I'm a new Trad climber (just did my first Trad lead last Sunday 😀), so this trip will be very chill and beginner-oriented.

This trip is beginner-friendly, but participants must know how to top-rope belay and bring their own climbing shoes, harness, and helmet. The group size will depend on the number of ropes available (maximum of 3 people per rope).

Meeting Point
We will meet at Northgate Transit Center East Park & Ride at 8:0 am for carpooling.

What to bring

• Climbing shoes.
• Harness.
• Helmet.
• Belay device.
• Food and snacks.
• At least 2 litre of water.
• Rope (optional).
• Quickdraws and anchor material (optional).
