Fall hike up Mt Washington
Details
Get ready for views of Rainier on this trek that's considered a quieter alternative to Mt Si. 8.5 miles and 3300 ft, there'll be a steady incline as we ascend while crossing some fallen trees. Anticipate an average hiking speed of 1.8~2.5mph. Check additional details and the latest trip reports on WTA here. Note: I have not done this trail so we'll be navigating it together.
WHAT TO BRING: hiking essentials, light layers, light snack/lunch, water (1.5L+), hiking shoes. And a bag for your hiking shoes afterwards.
- Drivers need the Discover Pass
- Riders are expected to chip in for gas (~$5)
Agenda: Expect a 40min one-way drive to/from trailhead, 4~5h of hiking, and a short break at the top. Buffer time is built into the event in case of unexpected situations
