Pelican Run with Total Eclipse Viewing on the Oregon Coast

Since people are coming down on different days, and I'm not sure when I'll leave this morning due to a last minute issues, those who are leaving on Friday, let's meet in Pacific CIty. Safe travels!
Those on the FB page and on Lady Riders (https://www.meetup.com/WWLadyRiders/events/236266311/) know I've been planning to bring back the Pelican Run for Aug. Bonus, Gary R (https://www.meetup.com/seattleriders/members/102692292/) posted a ride to see the total solar eclipse in Oregon around the same time. So I'm posting a separate event for those who want to do both. (To be clear, this is a CO-ED event!) The Pelican Run is a ride my late friend Randy the X-Man used to do with Northwest Sport Touring to the famous Pelican Brewery (http://pelicanbrewing.com/) in Pacific City, OR and thought it would be fun to finally do it again. Think they used to do in April, but want nice weather so moving it in Aug. Plus we get to see the eclipse on Monday around 10am. Welcome to make your way down on Saturday if you can't make it on Friday (time subject to change).

Motel Rooms - SOLD OUT!
I have reserved 4 types of motel rooms ranging from from $150-200 (before tax) a night sleeping 2, 3, 5 people (with one person on a futon). Have for just Sat-Sun nights (may be able to extend). Contact me for info.
Update 7/5 - now only have two rooms left:
1-bedroom with Queen Bed and Kitchen , sleeps 2 $150/night
2-Bedroom Family Suite with futon in living room, sleeps 5-6 $200/night

Route - TBD but will have some nice twisties! Due to the construction, I'm planning to avoid I-5 between Tacoma and Olympia - we can meet up south of there. The whole ride idea is to head to the Oregon coast for the weekend and visit the Pelican Brewery. Route ideas welcomed!
