Data Engineering is not Software: Solving the Upcoming Data Crisis

Details

Is Data Engineering facing an upcoming crisis? Have we lost sight of how to design data in the current trends of schema-less designs and cheap storage? Why is Data Engineering different from Software Engineering, and how can we shift this mindset?

In the upcoming SEB Talks IT meetup, we’ll raise these questions and explore the roots of Data Engineering. We’ll also discuss how to bring back the best practices of Data Modeling and Design.

Expect to hear a real-life example of how SEB created the One Reporting Platform, faced scalability and performance challenges, and how, after significant time and effort, we overcame them.

This event is ideal for Data Engineers, experienced IT professionals, and anyone with an interest in Data Engineering topics.
