80’s Prom Night Fundraiser for Coast to Coast 4 ALS

I saw this event listed in Naptown Scoop and wanted to share it here because it supports a truly important cause. I’m planning on attending to show support and to enjoy the evening, and thought others in our group might like to know about it too. This is an 80’s Prom-Themed Fundraiser benefiting Coast to Coast 4 ALS, bringing the community together for a night of music, dancing, and connection while raising funds for ALS research and support.
The evening will include Carolina Shag dance lessons with local instructors Nels Olson, Jim Toomey, and Willie Schwartz, along with music from DJ Thati featuring Carolina Beach Music and favorite 80’s prom classics. Guests are encouraged to come in 80’s prom attire, and there will be contests for best dressed, worst dressed, and senior superlatives, so feel free to lean into the spirit of the decade in whatever way makes you smile.
The event will be held on Friday, February 6 at 7:00 PM at O'Brien's on the top level. Tickets are $140 per person and include a limited open bar and food, with all profits going directly to Coast to Coast 4 ALS. It feels like one of those nights that will be both meaningful and genuinely fun!
