Let's walk Riverside Park on Thursday evening. This time is for the purpose of supporting people who have difficult family situations to deal with, mainly those who deal with a controlling family unit. Knowing what to do and even who we are in the midst of it can be lonely and stressful, so this walk is about finding community. You can talk with others or just be with your own thoughts in the company of other like minded individuals. Bring yourself and plan to enjoy nature. The trail is level and paved for four beautiful miles along the river. Bring plenty of water and wear comfy clothes and sturdy shoes for walking.
There are two rest rooms along the trail--one at the middle of the park and another at the end. We will meet at 6:30 at the Monroe/Knapp entrance to the park, accessible at the roundabout, right where Knapp Street meets Monroe, and the walk should end between 8:15 and 8:30.
The parking lot is definitely serviceable but a bit wonky. You can also park right next door at the Apple Tree Daycare parking lot which should be empty at that time.
If you have any questions, feel free to message me through the Meetup website.
