Second Week Writing Group

Low pressure writing meet up every other week in San Luis Obispo. We gather to do writing sprints, meet other writers and comiserate. This group is open to any writing style, genre, or project - including those who aren't working on a particular project. The goal is just to get pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard as the case may be).

There are other great writing meet ups in the area. This is intended as a supplement, a way to keep the momentum going in the "second weeks" between other meetings.

Second Week refers to that in-between time, but it also refers to commitment to our practice - the follow through after that first big inspiration.

Format:
Quick introductions and a 5 minute warm up exercise, followed by 10-15 minute writing sprints. The writing sprints will be free-writes, allowing you to work on whatever you like.
You do not need to have anything prepared ahead of time. The format does not include any sharing or critique - just writing.
