Pen to Paper Open Writing Sessions

Join our community of writers. Pen to Paper offers a low pressure, supportive environment intended to help you get words down on paper. The group is structured around short sprints that help lower the stakes and get your hand moving across the page. This is NOT a critique session. You do not need to have anything prepared in advance. Bring your current project, your big ideas, even your writer’s block. The goal is just to get pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard as the case may be).

Fieldwork offers a calm, inviting space that gets you out of the house without having to fight for seats or buy cup after cup of coffee to justify camping out in a cafe. Being part of a community of writers helps the creative process feel less lonely and daunting and spurs inspiration and focus.

Format: Quick introductions and a 5 minute warm up exercise followed by 10-15 minute writing sprints with optional exercises intended to spur your creativity and lead in unexpected directions.

What to bring: Whatever you like to write with (notebooks, pens, pencils, laptop etc.)

What’s provided: Tea, snacks, and cozy vibes.
