Dim Sum Lunch in Lowell

China Star has a Dim Sum lounge where the steam carts are moved from table to table so you can get an up close look at the available items. Dim sum is served from 9a - 3. We have reservations when the restaurant is less crowded. PLEASE BE PROMPT. The process is as the steam cart servers deliver the food to our table, the server stamps the table’s card indicating which items are chosen for purchase.

As there is one card per table, I am going to make this easier for us. With another meetup member, we have eaten most of the dim sum items there to determine what the most tasty options are for us and came up with a consensus of 12 items. They are: sliced roasted pork, steamed pork bun, pork Shoa Mai, shrimp shoa mai, pork spring roll, steamed shrimp dumpling, shrimp rice noodle roll, steamed beef meatball, shrimp fried stick, baked crispy egg custard tart, sticky rice and pot stickers. Each item plate has four pieces to share. The plan is to order enough plates for the table. Please read the attached dim sum menu and let me know if there’s something else you want to try. When we went as a group before, the total cost with tip and tax came to $33 per person. Plan on $30-$35 per person. Bring cash-10’s, 5’s and 1’s to make it easier when paying.
