"IT'S A MEGA YEAR FOR MUSHROOMS!" (Says the French press - article in comments) - so lets get out of Paris to the nature!!

A forest bigger than all of Paris, an ancient sea still strewn with boulders and the most popular forest of the Paris region - the Forest of Fonatinebleau is enormous - taking in several villages and of course the town and famous Chateau itself.

Join us as we hike the 'king of the woods' part of the forest of Fontainebleau - an area that once even hosted oil rigs and the stone quarries that delivered the pavements of Paris!

Hear stories of the famous impressionist artists who made the area their home and search for mushrooms and chestnuts - followed by (weather permitting) roasting the chestnuts on the fire.

When: Sunday 19th October

Meet: at BOIS LE ROI Station. Take the 11:16 R train from Hall 1 at Gare de Lyon - get off at the second stop. (arriving 11:48)

Note: If you don't have a monthly/weekly Navigo you can use a regular 'metro/train' ticket - the transfer from metro is included but be sure to validate it at the start of the platform in Paris.

Bring: Food/drink and walking shoes.

Cost: 15 Euros per person (to be paid in advance to secure your RSVP at paypal.me/secretparistours) or via Lydia/Wise/Revolut (preferred) to +33 646773410
