☼ DETAILED ITINERARY: THE ESSENCE OF GALICIA
📆 FRIDAY 3 APRIL — VIEWPOINTS, CHESTNUT GROVES & LIVING HISTORY
METRICS: 15 km | +900 m | ⚙️ Medium difficulty (circular).
TACTICAL NOTE: This is our most physically demanding stage. Those who prefer a more relaxed experience can enjoy the Medieval Fair in Monforte in the morning and join the group for dinner and the weekend routes (medium/low level).
🦅 We begin at the heart of the landscape: a route starting in Parada de Sil, exploring trails on the Ourense side of the Ribeira Sacra. We walk through native forest and ancient chestnut groves, passing the iconic Balcones de Madrid viewpoint overlooking the canyon 600m above the river.
We will also visit the monumental centuries-old chestnut tree of Entrambosríos and the Romanesque temple of Santa Cristina (6th century). Each stop adds depth to a truly unique day.

📆 SATURDAY 4 APRIL — VINEYARDS, RIVER VIEWS & CATAMARAN
Morning Route (Vertigo & Tradition):
📏 6 km | +400 m | ⚙️ Medium difficulty.
A linear stretch from Belesar to Praia da Cova, walking through heroic vineyards, native forests, and traditional villages that preserve the essence of Galicia.
REAL GASTRONOMY: Tactical stop to enjoy a traditional Galician churrasco paired with Ribeira Sacra wine — a well-earned reward for the Tribe.
SIGNATURE AFTERNOON: After lunch, we visit an exclusive local winery to uncover the secrets of heroic viticulture.
RIVER CALM (The Finale): We close the day with a private catamaran route along the Miño River — pure disconnection, where the only sound is water cutting beneath the canyon walls.
MEDIEVAL NIGHT: Stay in Monforte de Lemos to fully immerse yourself in the mystical atmosphere of its famous Medieval Fair.

📆 SUNDAY 5 APRIL — THE MYSTERY OF SANTO BAÑO & A PENA DAS CRUCES
📏 7 km | +300 m | ⚙️ Low difficulty.
For our final day, we reserve the crown jewel: mystical Galicia beyond tourist maps. We explore the Santo Baño route, a nearly untouched trail where time seems to have stood still for centuries.
The Miracle of Early Spring: A unique microclimate where spring arrives two months early, bursting into life while the rest of the north still sleeps.
A Pena dos Difuntos (Full of Legends): Visit an enigmatic necropolis with 6th-century anthropomorphic tombs and the legendary “A Pena das Cruces”, a sacred stone wrapped in ancient stories marking the spiritual boundary between worlds.
Sacred Nature: Walk through the largest strawberry tree forest in Galicia and ancient vineyard terraces — silent witnesses to human effort in a landscape of overwhelming peace.
This is not just a farewell route — it’s a moment to connect with the land’s ancestral energy before our closing meal with the Tribe and return home. A fitting ending to a signature expedition.
