🦅 Discover the power of water and rock. In this Signature Expedition, we head deep into the Sierra de Guara (Huesca). Uniquely sculpted by the Vero and Alcanadre rivers, this landscape combines verticality and water to create a one-of-a-kind Pyrenean setting.
💦 Between limestone walls and crystal-clear pools, we feel the pulse of real adventure in pure nature. Our base will be Bierge, one of the most charming villages in Somontano—the perfect refuge after the action. Guara is the European capital of canyoning, boasting over 200 canyons.

🧭 YOUR DETAILED ITINERARY:
📆 FRIDAY 15th MAY – VIA FERRATA
- Meet in Adahuesca at 13:00 for lunch together (optional).
- 16:00: Gear distribution and safety briefing.
- Introductory Via Ferrata (Level K2): Learn to use harnesses, energy absorbers, and vertical progression.
- Duration: 3-4 hours.
- Free evening in Bierge. Dinner is flexible—but better together!😊
📆 SATURDAY 16th MAY – CANYONING (The Main Event)
- Canyon Descent Level 1-2 (Vero or Formiga): Optional jumps, abseils, and natural slides.
- Duration: 4-5 hours in the water.
- Bring a picnic (not included).
- Free evening. Group dinner and fun for those who want to join.
📆 SUNDAY 17th MAY – CLOSING HIKE
- Exposed/Aerial Hiking Route (Chain sections): 10-12 km, moderate level.
- Duration: 3-4 hours. Led by TD2 guides.
- Optional farewell lunch.
- Departure around 17:00.
Tactical Note: The order of Friday and Sunday activities may be swapped depending on conditions. Edward’s Insider Tip: Do not break in new boots in Guara. If your soles are worn flat, tell me during validation and we’ll find a solution before we set off.

🧥 COMPULSORY & RECOMMENDED KIT
Footwear (Essential):
- Mid-cut hiking boots with Vibram soles (or similar). Broken in but with good tread.
- Alternative: Approach shoes with excellent grip.
Layering (3-Layer System):
- Base: T-shirt (wicking).
- Mid: Fleece or similar.
- Outer: Windproof/Waterproof jacket.
FOR CANYONING:
- Trainers are fine if they are in good condition with good grip (better than heavy boots that weigh you down when wet).
Provided for Canyoning:
- Wetsuit, helmet, harness, absorbers, carabiners, canyoning boots.
You Bring:
- Swimwear and towel (microfibre is best).
- 20-30L Rucksack with waterproof cover (or a strong plastic bag—guerrilla trick).
- Min. 1.5L hydration.
- Picnic for the two route days.
- Sunscreen, sunglasses, hat.
- Dry bag for wet clothes.
- ENERGY AND A WILLINGNESS TO HAVE FUN!
PREVENTION: Mountain weather is unpredictable. Always carry your waterproof layer and a spare thermal garment.
