Topic of the month: Infosec and AI (or is it Cyber & AI nowadays? ^-^)…

With the mass adoption of AI, across business (and our personal lives), it’s imperative to understand what AI really is and what’s the best approach in utilizing it, in a security by design approach.

We’ll get the chance to talk about the different types of AI, how it’s been implemented (good or not so good,) and of course security risks when it comes to its adoption.

In any new, mass adopted (in such a fast pace) - but also so quickly changing - technology scenario, there’s usually a not clear understanding of it, possible risks and associated threat vectors, and of course any established and tested best practices for it’s adoption.

And this becomes an even higher risk area when all sorts of types of users, technical and non-technical, advanced or not, nuanced in risk, security or privacy or not - are being pushed for an AI first future. Without proper awareness, guidance or in place controls and checks.

From stack overflow copy pasting to code vibing, and copy pasting (sensitive?) data into prompts or passing it on via AI APIs, to all sorts of AI integrations, MCPs, A2As...

Join us, to share thoughts and exchange ideas on how we are using AI today -or planning to use it, discuss opportunities in the security area and trigger some conversations and thinking on building things with, and using AI, in a secure way!

Let's meet for an informative session where you can ask security experts any questions you have in your mind no mater how basic or advanced that is. Every month we try to have a different topic, and there's always time to discuss anything important to you as well!

✔️ Every LAST Thursday of the month 18:30 at CIC Rotterdam, ( sometimes along the Venture Cafe / GHG drinks); SecTalks continues as usual & we still meet at the same place! Doors open at 17:30 - drinks and snacks provided!

SecTalks takes place at the CIC innovation community - and part of the Venture Cafe Rotterdam gathering which is now (temporarily?) on halt.

Doors for SecTalks open at 17:30 we have drinks (and some snacks). SecTalks session starts at 18:30. If you are there earlier, drop a line so we can connect and socialize more.
