Topic of the month: 🔦Hacking IP Cameras! 🎥 📷 🎤👀🎯 🔐 and, WHY2025, a few days to go! 👾 🚀

Cameras! They are everywhere! Watching, recording, listening. Inside our businesses personal duelings, outside - in public and semi public places, within critical infrastructure and services, and other governmental, military and other sensitive locations. How secure are they? Who’s got eyes - and ears - on the video (…audio, and linked data / metadata)?

Let’s hack! How vulnerable are they? What flavors do they come in, and how secure or insecure can they be? How do they come out of the box, and do individuals or professionals (bother) to configure them correctly? What’s out there (on the internet)? How do we minimize the risk(s) for use cases where cameras are needed?

We’ll also get to talk about the long awaited WHY2025 - a few days to go! How do you get the most out of the event, what interesting content, villages, people and fun things to do, uss there and are there volunteering as well as knowledge sharing opportunities are (still) there? Join us to find out!

Can’t make it to this month’s session? The Hacking IP cameras session will also take place at WHY2025! And of course if you are at WHY2025 be sure to get in touch - we’ll organize a SecTalks Holland and Friends gathering - what a better place to hang out (a little bit more) together?

✔️ Every LAST Thursday of the month 18:30 at CIC Rotterdam, (along the Venture Cafe / GHG drinks); SecTalks continues as usual & we still meet at the same place! Doors open at 17:30 - drinks and snacks provided!

SecTalks takes place at the CIC innovation community - and part of the Venture Cafe Rotterdam gathering which is now (temporarily?) on halt.

Doors for SecTalks open at 17:30 we have drinks (and some snacks). SecTalks session starts at 18:30. If you are there earlier, drop a line so we can connect and socialize more.
