The American Fuzzy Lop is a wool-breed rabbit similar in appearance to the Holland Lop; it's also an excellent instrumented fuzzer developed by Michał Zalewski. I'll be talking about AFL (the fuzzer) and why it's so much faster than black-box fuzzing techniques. There will be a lot of adorable rabbit photos.

Mark will be presenting the CTF for this month, then we'll head to the pub.

We operate a beer donation system: bring some beer along to share and I'll keep any extra safe month-to-month. Promise :)

We'll just be presenting the CTF this month, to work on at home, so you don't need to bring your laptop. But you're welcome to get a head start from the pub if you're particularly competitive.

If you do bring your machine along, you'll need the following:

• Something that can run Linux ELF executables (eg. a VirtualBox VM running Ubuntu)

• A debugger and/or hex editor of some sort.

• You'll probably end up writing a little bit of code, so bring your favourite compiler and/or scripting language. Or just solve the whole thing with vim macros.

The meeting room is in the Cisco Meraki offices, Level 7, 10 Finsbury Square EC2A 1AF. Let building reception know you're with SecTalks, then once you're on our floor ring the doorbell and someone should let you in. Any problems, call Patrick on 07709 045 513.

See you there!

Patrick
