Details

"Yet another incident!" But, what can we learn from it and do better?

The aviation and marine industries have taken these safety reviews to heart. What can we learn by doing these retrospectives ourselves? Join us as Jay, takes us through an interactive session doing this.

Mistakes were made - Using the breaches of our past to help secure our future
with Jay Nicholson
---

With your morning coffee in hand, you scan your favourite news site and there it is - yet another breach.

Skimming the report for the details you find that an unauthenticated API lead to data theft and a ransom request has already been received.
You shake your head and read on about the lack of controls and process. This sounds predictable. With a little more foresight, the attack could have been averted. The coffee kicks in as you start realise this sounds all too familiar. "Could we be next?"

Cyber attacks are growing in size and sophistication, with threat actors continuously honing their tactics, techniques and procedures.
Can we afford to ignore the hard lessons learned by the victims of compromise?

In this session we'll review some high-profile breaches across various industries. We'll discuss how the attacks succeeded, where security failures occurred, the costs incurred and the tangible steps we can take to bolster our defences against similar attacks.
