The Wild Side: Bitcoin and 3x ETF Strategies

The government-induced bull market is still in full swing: We have low interest rates, millions of vaccinations per day, fresh plans for travel and socializing, and $3Tr on the way from Uncle Sam to lubricate the party. Sure, we may have an inflationary hangover later, and party bubbles eventually seem to attract a prick. But in the meantime, a case of FOMO (fear of missing out) has grabbed our attention, and we instinctively know that we had better “get while the getting’s good.”

Unfortunately, bull-market endorphins distort reality and make it difficult to know when the party is over. Crypto-currencies and 3x leveraged ETFs are extremely volatile and make the ARKK ETF’s rough ride seem more like a walk in the park. Fortunately, algorithms are immune to bull-market endorphins and can help us “know when to hold and when to fold.”
