What we're about

LifeRing offers weekly support for abstinence-based recovery from alcohol use disorder and other addictions. Not affiliated with AA or any 12-step program, our meetup is a friendly and supportive group based on LifeRing's "Three S" approach:

  • Sobriety
  • Secularity
  • Self-Help

How Was Your Week?

Noodles and Company

Our first meeting was a great success, so we'll be meeting again this week (and every Thursday, weekly).

We're still meeting in the restaurant, so if possible, we suggest (don't require) that you order at least a soda or the like so we stay on friendly terms with the restaurant.

The restaurant usually has plenty of parking. Please look for me -- the "convenor" (shown here 12-ish years younger: https://www.meetup.com/members/9331298). I'll also probably bring along the Recovery By Choice Workbook that some members use, so look for that on the table.

I realize you may have confidentiality concerns that make a restaurant not ideal -- if so, please send me a note here on Meetup, and we'll try to figure something out.

LifeRing meetings are often organized around a "How Was Your Week?" format. What challenges did you face? What are you facing in the week ahead? They're quite informal.
