This group will meet on the first and third Thursday of each month.
Suggestions for a topic of discussion are welcome. Feel free to send messages about possible topics.
Anyone is welcome to join the group. The thought is that a video (YouTube, Ted Talk, Movie, or whatever) first might be a useful primer or icebreaker. The discussions or debates can go where it will after that.
You may join the group as outlined below:
a. On our computer - You may have to be using the Chrome or Firefox web browser. Just click this link:

b. By smartphone, just download the "Jitsi Meet" app and put:
"SecularHumanistsofAlberta" where it says "Room". Note that in the future the Jitsi App will save your old places and it will be easier.
Please help by suggesting a video or Ted Talk with some relevance to Secular Humanism. If it is longer, say 30-45 min, I will start it off early enough that it will end at 7 PM. Participants can watch it any time on their own or start with me at the start time ( say 6:15 for a 45-minute video). I will be watching for suggestions and will post on Monday, what the video will be for Thursday.
I understand that the Jitsi app can accommodate a large number of participants.
Feel free to join from ANYWHERE. It would be interesting to have participants from other geographic areas.
If you cannot make it please adjust your RSVP as it is easier to be prepared of we have a basic idea of how many are coming.
