CI Fuzz Coffee Hour - May

Details

Hello security fans and community,
in our regular coffee hour our awesome developer advocate Josh Grant welcomes you to connect and discuss all things security, testing, fuzzing and more. Sharing tips and tricks on how to accomplish everyday (or allday) challenges, getting hands on experience and also opening the floor for your questions.

There will be a focus topic for the first 15-30 minutes with hands-on demos, awesome experts and of course insights on what's going on in the world of fuzzing.

Afterwards, the floor is open for your questions, discussions, and comments.

This Week
Join me, Josh Grant and Marcus Merrell (VP of Technology Strategy at Sauce Labs), as we discuss testing and securing Spring Boot APIs.

One of the most used web frameworks in the Java programming world - and in turn the whole software development world - is Spring, and the framework of choice for RESTful web APIs, Spring Boot.

Spring Boot is used by organizations large and small to create web APIs for both internal projects and external applications to be used on the world wide web. Regardless of who your end users are, security and testing are vital for developing web applications. The Spring Boot project recognizes the importance of testing, and provides tools for developers to test their applications at the unit level. In conjunction with these test tools for functional testing while developing web APIs, Code Intelligence has integrated Jazzer, a AI-enabled security testing tool, into Spring Boot tooling using JUnit 5.

In this coffee hour, we’ll discuss how to use testing tools with Spring Boot and show how to easily add security testing using existing tests and Spring Boot tooling to secure your web APIs.
