Cibola Pass/Jordan Loop

Details
Hello hikers,
I've been waiting for the temperatures to cool down a bit to plan a hike. It looks like Monday, July 21st may be a good day to have an early morning hike. It will be a 2.2 mile hike on the Cibola Pass Trail returning on the Jordan Trail. Even though we will be starting early when the temperature should be a mild 71 degrees or so, I suggest you bring plenty of water and a cooling cloth.
Summary: This close-to-town, loop hike provides some spectacular red rock views with the option to visit the Devil's Kitchen sinkhole and the Seven Sacred Pools. I don't plan to hike to the sinkhole or the 7 pools.
Challenge Level: Easy
**Hiking Distance:**About a 2.2 mile loop when we hike the Cibola Pass Trail then return on the Jordan Trail
Hiking Time: About 1 ½ - 2 hours hour round trip for the Cibola Pass/Jordan loop hike
Trailhead Directions: From the "Y" roundabout, drive north on SR 89A about 0.3 mile to the Jordan Road roundabout. Take the third exit onto Jordan Road then drive to the end. Turn left onto West Park Ridge. Drive 0.3 miles then proceed through the paved cul-de-sac, continuing on the dirt road for 0.5 mile to the main parking area (wayoint {1} on the map). This parking area also serves the Brins Mesa, Brins Mesa Overlook, Jim Thompson and Jordan Trails. There are toilets at the parking area. A Red Rock Pass or equivalent is required for parking.
Note: The dirt road is rough with potholes. A high clearance vehicle is recommended.
While the hike is 8 days away, one forecaster is currently saying there is a 30% chance of rain on the 21st. If it becomes necessary to cancel the hike, I'll send out a note late Sunday, July 20th or early morning July 21st
You are responsible for your safety on the hike.
