100% FULL BEAVER SUPER MOON HIKE ON THE CLIFF ROSE TRAIL
Details
This is a 2-mile easy hike in the desert on the Cliff Rose Rose Trail. This is a very casual hike. It will last about 1.5 hours.
The sunset and the full moon rise will coincide at almost the same time.
The sun will set behind the Black Range (Mingus Mountain) at 530pm, and the moon is set to rise at 527pm, but will actually come over the horizon about 10 minutes later than that, about 540pm. We will be back in the parking lot before 700pm.
We will meet at the parking lot closest to AZ89A off of AZ30/Cornville Road, Mingus Road, about 1/4 from the intersection with AZ89A. There are 2 lots that service these trails. This is the lot closest to AZ89A.
Use the map below and you're sure to get there. Arrive at least 10-15 minutes before 530pm. We will leave the parking area promptly at 530pm.
Bring a jacket and a flashlight in addition to your phone light.
If you've never hiked in the desert during a full moon, you will be amazed and pleased at the beauty.
You and you alone are responsible for completing this hike and your own safety during the event. The leader is not a professional guide.
Our Meetup app is not cooperating with the location for the parking area. I am posting the link to find your way there below.
