DOE MOUNTAIN FROM THE AERIE TRAILHEAD PARKING AREA

The Doe Mountain Trail offers stunning scenery, with some challenging and interesting terrain, and breathtaking panoramic views from atop a mesa. From this trail, you can see Bear, Maroon, and Wilson Mountains, as well as Secret Canyons, Chimney Rock, and the Cockscomb. On a clear day, you can even catch a glimpse of Sedona in the distance, along with Munds Mountain and Sycamore Pass.

We will actually start at the Aerie Trailhead parking lot, which will allow us to add an additional 1.6 miles to the Doe Mountain Loop's 2.5 miles, for a total of about 4.1 miles, and about 730 feet of elevation.

Make sure you meet the group at Aerie Parking area and not the parking lot for Doe Mountain. The map on this page will give you directions to that parking lot.
