Andante/Thunder Mountain/Teacup/Coffeepot Loop Hike

Monday's hike, March 16, 2026 will consist of several in-town trails, part of which will be a loop hike. The entire hike will be about 3.5 miles and is rated Easy to Moderate.
We'll park at the parking area at the north end of Andante Drive and hike east on the Andante Trail to the Thunder Mountain Trail and continue east to the Teacup Trail to the Coffeepot Trail. We'll hike the Coffeepot Trail to a spot beneath Coffeepot Rock. There, we'll retrace our steps, then follow the Thunder Mountain Trail back to the Andante Trail to the parking area.
The parking area is located at the north end of Andante Drive. From the "Y," drive west on SR 89A toward Cottonwood for about 2.5 miles then turn right on Andante Drive. Drive north on Andante Drive for about 1 mile to the end, where you'll see a dirt road and a parking area straight ahead. A parking pass is not required and there are no bathrooms.
NOTE: There is construction on Andante Drive but you should be able to traverse it without a problem.
There are some narrow spots on the Thunder Mountain Trail we'll have to be mindful of.
This is a senior-led hike. So if you are looking for a cardio workout, this isn't the hike for you. You are responsible for your safety on the hike.
