Enjoy this great trail in Prescott National Forest, which offers views of the scenery throughout the valley. The drive has about a half-mile on a dirt road that leads to a large parking area and well-marked trailhead with an information kiosk for this hike. The area is shared with Cyclists, dog walkers, trail runners and horseback riders.

We will be hiking one of the newer spur trails that are a little higher up in the foothills. Great views of the entire Verde Valley and some distinct geology.

Easy to get to. Get on Mingus Road and head west into Cottonwood, crossing over AZ89A. Continue on until the blacktop ends and turns to gravel. From there about 1/2 mile until you come to a large lot, with an information sign on your right.

You and you alone are responsible for your own safety and ability to complete the hike.
