About us
Seeing Anew
A Creative Practice for Curious Minds
Seeing Anew is a community for curious minds exploring creativity as a way of seeing and participating in the world. Through observation, inquiry, contemplation, walks, simple exercises, and creative practice, we cultivate attention, wonder, self-discovery, meaningful affinities, and new ways of inhabiting the world together.
This is not a networking group, a productivity workshop, or a traditional lecture. It is a recurring practice for people interested in creativity, perception, philosophy, nature, learning, and the art of asking better questions.
Every two weeks, we gather to slow down, observe more carefully, think together, and explore creativity as something deeper than artistic talent or innovation. Creativity, in this sense, is the capacity to notice, question, connect, imagine, and participate more fully in life.
Our gatherings may include:
• Observation walks in nature and the city
• Exercises in attention, perception, and creativity
• Dialogue and collective inquiry
• Journaling and reflection
• Drawing, mapping, and simple creative experiments
• Exploring patterns in everyday life
• Conversations about art, science, philosophy, design, and human experience
No artistic experience is required. You do not need to be an artist, writer, designer, or academic to participate. The only requirement is curiosity and a willingness to explore.
We meet regularly in the spirit of a practice: not to arrive at definitive answers, but to cultivate attention, discover meaningful affinities, and learn to see anew.
About the facilitator
My name is Silvano. I am an architect, educator, researcher, writer, musician, and long-time student of creativity. For more than two decades, I have explored questions of perception, design, community, creativity, and human experience through teaching, un artistic practice, research, collaborative workshops, design studios, and creative projects developed with teams, communities, and collectives.
I created Seeing Anew as an open space to continue exploring these questions beyond traditional academic and professional settings. Throughout my work, I have been interested in bringing people together to think, create, learn, and discover what becomes possible through shared inquiry. My belief is that creativity is not only a form of expression, but also a way of paying attention, understanding ourselves and others, discovering meaningful affinities, and finding new ways of participating in the world.
