Seeking a Sisterhood

So many women crave deeper friendships, but making new friends as an adult can be difficult. This 2-hour online gathering is for women who are looking for meaningful connection and community.

Together, we’ll create a warm, welcoming space to meet and connect with others who are also seeking genuine friendship and a sense of sisterhood. This event combines a larger group experience with smaller breakout rooms where you’ll have an opportunity to get to know one another better. (Video tutorial of how to enter breakout rooms below)

Just show up as yourself, ready to share, listen, laugh(?), and find the kind of connection that reminds you you’re not alone.

Bring your curiosity, kindness, and spirit of sisterhood. Hopefully this event will make it easier to connect one-on-one and to keep the conversations going beyond the bounds of meetup—if you so choose.

Mind-body medicine is an evidence-based approach used in clinical and community settings around the world. It uses breath, guided imagery, movement, and self-expression to help the body shift out of chronic stress and into a more regulated, resilient state. Learning about it only gets you so far. Practice groups are where it comes alive.

Dialogue with a symptom/problem is the didactic we will be exploring tonight. It gives a voice to whatever you have been carrying in a way that can bring insight and healing. Writing it as a conversation gets around the filters of the thinking mind, so you can reach what you already know. Items you will need: a pen and writing paper or a journal.

During the evening, we will:

• Enjoy a guided experience of self-awareness
• Access subconscious information about a problem or symptom
• Strengthen your awareness of your own inner wisdom
• Reflect and share with the group, as much or as little as you like

Part of what makes a mind-body group work is the group itself. Being seen and heard without judgment is medicine. For that reason, plan to join with your camera on from a private place where you can participate fully.

For those seeking a deeper experience, there is an opportunity to join a full eight-week closed group beginning on November 19th. This evening is a taste, so you can make an informed decision.

About your facilitator
Linda Mechner is a certified Holistic Health Coach and Mind-Body Skills facilitator with more than twenty years of experience guiding women through health and life change. For the last decade and a half, she has led women's groups where women slow down, reconnect with their bodies, and remember they don't have to hold it all alone.

A healing journey can be isolating and painful—but you don’t have to do it alone.

This group is created with the intention of offering support and wisdom to one another. Most of us don’t often get to speak up, be heard, feel seen, and be understood the way we need. This gathering is a space for women to share, reflect, and reconnect—with ourselves and each other.

Each meeting includes sharing, open discussion, gentle facilitation, and a touch of healing meditation. It’s a space for mutual support and shared wisdom.

This group is for women, 18 years and older. We are women supporting women—creating community and walking with each other through the challenges of the healing journey. Let’s support each other!
