Aikido in English (weekly)
Kamiitabashi Gymnasium, 1-chÅme-3-1 Sakuragawa, Itabashi City, Tokyo, JPSEIDOKAN AIKIDO OF TOKYO
šÆšµ ę„ę¬čŖć®ę”å ćÆćć®äøć«ććć¾ććš¹ About Aikido
Aikido is a Japanese martial art focused on harmony, awareness, and personal growthānot competition. There are no tournaments or sparring. Instead, students train cooperatively, practicing techniques that blend with energy rather than clash against it.
Seidokan Aikido, founded in the U.S. by Rod Kobayashi Sensei, emphasizes a modern, accessible approach rooted in traditional values. Movements are small, efficient, and guided by the principle of āloving protection of all things.ā
Our Tokyo dojo was established in 1995 and offers classes in English in a welcoming, international environment. Classes are led by Chris Koprowski (5th dan), a certified Seidokan instructor and longtime Tokyo resident.***
