Festivus in July

Details
Because the fireworks are over, the year’s half gone, and the grievances aren’t going to air themselves.
Saturday, July 12
🕐 1–3 PM
📍 Philz Coffee, Walnut Creek
We’ve officially crossed the halfway mark of 2025. The resolutions have faded. The sunscreen is running low. And somehow, we’re still here—mildly confused, moderately caffeinated, and ready to gather for a mid-summer airing of grievances.
We’ll be outside, sipping iced things, sharing light complaints, and pretending we’re not still sunburned from last weekend. No feats of strength. No fireworks. Just the quiet hum of shared discontent and maybe a little breeze.
Bring:
- One (1) grievance
- One (1) beverage
- Zero (0) expectations
Optional: a leftover sparkler and absolutely no tinsel (we find it distracting)
No RSVPs (but we’ll pretend to remember if you do). No pressure. Stop by for 10 minutes or stay the whole time. Either way, we’ll pretend this was always the plan.
Still doing nothing. Just with a slightly more ceremonial umbrella.
