Selenium Israel Meetup #16

Hello everyone! Our next Meetup will take place on June 15th at the RSA (EMC) offices in Hamada 7 St. Herzlia.

Our first talk will be given by Raphael Levi (https://www.linkedin.com/in/raphael-levi-2096a222) and Amit Wertheimer (https://www.linkedin.com/in/amit-wertheimer-ba187550) from RSA (EMC). In today’s world, security issues are getting more and more important, and we testers are required to take security vulnerabilities into consideration. Moreover, relying on security experts to perform basic testing is not an option, and neither is relying on manual testing. In order to create a safety net that will be part of our CI, we need tools that will enable us to incorporate basic security checks into our automation. In this presentation we will introduce the BrowserMob proxy and show how we use it to perform automated security testing at RSA.

In our second talk Guy Arieli (https://www.linkedin.com/in/guyarieli) - the Co-Founder and CTO of Experitest and the creator of JSystem, will share best practices in developing mobile applications that are easy to test. After attending this session you will be able to provide guidelines to your R&D team on how to build mobile applications that are testable and easy to automate. You will learn how the technology you choose to develop your app makes it easier to automate your mobile testing. What are the best practices in using such technology? How to build a mobile UI whose elements can be identified early by an automation environment? And many other considerations and pitfalls to avoid.
