Hello wonderful hikers! 👋
Thank you so much for visiting the page and showing interest in this beautiful full‑day hiking adventure. This walk will take us through some of the most scenic and historic locations in Kent, perfect for anyone who loves nature, history, friendly company, and a good stretch of the legs.
🌿 What to Expect on the Day
We’ll be completing the Sevenoaks Circular, a classic route that showcases:
🦌 Knole Deer Park
A stunning 1,000‑acre medieval deer park where you can often see wild fallow and sika deer roaming freely. The wide-open landscapes, ancient woodland, and sweeping views make it a gorgeous starting point.
🏰 Ightham Mote
A beautiful 14th‑century moated manor house surrounded by lush gardens and woodlands. It’s widely regarded as one of the most picturesque National Trust sites in the country — a perfect midpoint highlight.
🏡 Shipbourne Village
A classic English village with green fields, quiet lanes, and a peaceful atmosphere. We’ll pass through before looping back toward Sevenoaks.
This is roughly a 14-mile (22.5 km) hike, so it’s a full day out, but a rewarding one with lots of varied scenery.
