Human emotions are the result of thousands of years of evolution. They form part of our built-in system that copes with the outer and inner environment to seek survival and optimal happiness. Uncomfortable emotions provide us with a wealth of information and can be a gold mine for understanding and growth.
This workshop will use two practical tools to understand and deal with emotions. First, we will learn how to reframe thoughts, which often and significantly trigger emotions that may be difficult to deal with.
Second, as we generally categorize thoughts and emotions as good /bad, helpful/unhelpful, or kind/unkind, we tend to judge and repress negative emotions and thoughts. These negative emotions and thoughts have a purpose, a mission, which is obscure to us many times. We will use Active Imagination to open a safe and sacred space for these Shadows or repressed parts to tell us more and reach agreements.
