Hello Beautiful Souls,

The next LAVA Mastery class is devoted to one of the most practical, body-based tools I know for moments when self-love feels out of reach.

Because let’s be honest, self-love isn’t difficult when life is easy and everything’s going your way.

Self-love is hardest when shame flares, when self-criticism is loud, when perfectionism makes you believe you’re not good enough, and when your usual tools suddenly stop working.

That is exactly why I want to introduce you to the powerful tool of EFT Tapping.

EFT, or Emotional Freedom Technique, is a gentle but powerful practice that helps calm the nervous system, interrupt negative thought loops, and rewire neural pathways through safety, repetition, and action.

What EFT Tapping Is
EFT Tapping involves gently tapping nine specific points on the body while speaking intentional phrases aloud. These points are part of the body’s meridian system, rooted in ancient Chinese medicine and supported by modern psychology and neuroscience.

Why It Works When Self-Love Is Hardest to Access
When we are triggered, overwhelmed, or flooded with negative feelings, the thinking brain often goes offline. Insight and intelligence alone are not enough in these moments.

EFT Tapping works because it engages the mind and body simultaneously.

One of the most important principles of cultivating LAVA is the deliberate rewiring of neural pathways in the brain. This is not theory or preference. It is established neuroscience. If self-love is meant to be reliable, especially under stress, then neural rewiring must be a top priority for anyone who wants to live an optimal, thriving life.

For maximum and lasting neural rewiring, all four actions must be engaged. Each one activates a different system in the brain and body. When they are combined, change becomes embodied rather than conceptual.

  1. Reading
Provides the brain with language, meaning, and structure, enabling new interpretations to form.
  2. Listening
Regulates the nervous system through tone, rhythm, and human presence, creating a sense of emotional safety.
  3. Tapping
Directly signals safety in the body, calms the stress response, and lowers cortisol so old patterns can be released.
  4. Writing
Anchors new neural pathways through physical action, repetition, and motor memory, turning insight into integration.

When these are layered together, self-love stops being a concept and starts becoming embodied. This is how real rewiring happens. This is how self-love becomes your new normal, something you can actually access when life gets hard.

LAVA Mastery is where self-love goes from being an excellent concept to being a solid part of your life and identity through consistent, embodied practice.

Gentle Camera-On Reminder
Gentle Reminder: To honor the sacredness of our community and to create a safe space for real connection and safety, we gather as a camera-on group. When we can see one another, we can support one another. It allows us to heal together, and feel held in the kind of community every soul deserves.

Come as you are. We do not care about your hair, your makeup, how tired you are, or what you wear. What matters is your presence, your heart, and your willingness to show up for yourself and others.

If you are ready to learn a tool you can rely on when self-love feels hardest to reach, I cannot wait to share this practice with you.

With love,

Alicia Ashley, MA
