Walking meditations on Tao Te Ching

Details

Dear friends
During this event we will concentrate on verses from chapter 14 of Tao Te Ching. We will reflect together this chapter and then will go for a 20 minute walking meditation in the park!!
Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu is a chinese classical text with 81 verses of wisdom. Though Tao Te Ching has been interpreted subjectively according to who is reading it, for a seeker on the path of wisdom it is a wonderful and precise guide to the process of becoming an enlightened being, to accomplish, within oneself, a high level of spiritual cultivation.

Verse 14 of Tao Te Ching

"Look at it and it is not seen;
it is called formless.
Listen to it and it is not heard;
it is called soundless.
Try to grasp it and it cannot be held;
it is called intangible.
These three are impossible to understand
and so they are joined together.
The surface is not bright.
The bottom is not dark.
It cannot be held or named.
It returns to the origin (wuji).
It is called the formless form,
the image of the imageless.
It is vague and indistinct.
Looking at it,
its beginning cannot be seen,
its ending cannot be followed.
Hold fast to the ancient way of Tao
flow with the here and now.
Knowing the ancient beginning of things
is to know the essence of Tao."

I welcome you towards a fruitful reflection and meditation experience!!
