Walking meditations on Tao Te Ching

Details

Dear friends,
During this event we will concentrate on verses from chapter 15 of Tao Te Ching. We will reflect together this chapter and then will go for a 20 minute walking meditation in the park!!
Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu is a chinese classical text with 81 verses of wisdom. Though Tao Te Ching has been interpreted subjectively according to who is reading it, for a seeker on the path of wisdom it is a wonderful and precise guide to the process of becoming an enlightened being, to accomplish, within oneself, a high level of spiritual cultivation.

Verse 15 of Tao Te Ching

"The ancient sages
were masters at penetrating the subtle and profound Tao.
They were so deep that we cannot describe them.
They were cautious, like someone fording a frozen river.
They were vigilant, like someone who is surrounded by enemies.
They were courteous, like dignified guests.
They were ephemeral, like melting ice.
They were simple, like the uncarved block (pu).
They were open and wide, like a valley.
They were deep, like swirling water.
Who can remain still and quiet while the mud settles?
Who can remain calm and still until it is time to move?
Followers of Tao do not seek excess.
Because they do not seek excess,
they can grow old
yet constantly be renewed."

I welcome you towards a fruitful reflection and meditation experience!!
