Walking meditations on Tao Te Ching

Dear friends
During this event we will concentrate on verses from chapter 18 of Tao Te Ching. We will reflect together this chapter and then will go for a 20 minute walking meditation in the park!!
Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu is a chinese classical text with 81 verses of wisdom. Though Tao Te Ching has been interpreted subjectively according to who is reading it, for a seeker on the path of wisdom it is a wonderful and precise guide to the process of becoming an enlightened being, to accomplish, within oneself, a high level of spiritual cultivation.

Verse 18 of Tao Te Ching

"When great Tao is abandoned
then benevolence (ren)
and righteousness (yi) appear.
Then intellect and cleverness rules
and great hypocrisy arises.
When the family is no longer in harmony
filial piety and duty arise.
When the country is in confusion
trouble arises.
Then come the loyal ministers."
